At this time of year our new plant trials area starts filling up with new and interesting candidates that we evaluate for inclusion in our range. Run by Amy Evans the trials area will have over 250 different varieties this year including the best new bedding and perennial plants, shrubs, roses and trees. Every variety will be evaluated by sales and growing staff with just a few excellent new introductions joining our offer to garden centres.
Whilst we grow over 80% of the plants we sell we also work closely with some specialist growers. This amazing batch of citrus is a great example.

With some good spring weather we are busy planting rose stock plants. We will graft onto these stock plants this summer to make plants for lifting autumn 2026. It is a long term crop!

Every year at Allensmore we offer crop technician apprenticeships. These two year apprenticeships lead towards a level 3 qualification in commercial plant production. Students learn on site on our nurseries and attend Pershore College for 5 weeks per year. Meet our newest recruits Matthew, Nicole and Noah.
